Spring or early summer is a good time to do Shinrinyoku, too. Light green leaves are beautiful. In fact, you want to do it every season so that you can see how the forest changes.
There are many ways to do Shinrinyoku.
You can take a walk in the forest, or you can run. Recently I go trail running, I run in a forest or a mountain.
You can sit quietly and meditate. You can contemplate on an autumn leaf.
You can do standing meditation, a qi-gong exercise. The forest is the perfect place to do standing meditation to feel Ki energy.
