Water is in rice fields and Satoyama is ready for rice planting.

Rice is already planted in some fields.

In Japan, we have entered the Golden Week from today. A week of many public holidays with weekends. This year, if you take May 2nd and 6th off, you’ll have 10 consecutive holidays. I am taking the 2nd off, making it 7 days holiday.

That means I am completing my 5th quarter of Hare and Ke Intermittent Fasting today. Technically, I have one more week since it is the 11th week, not the 12th week, but I have decided to take a break during the Golden Week.

I usually take one week break from fasting between each quarter, and taking a break during a holiday is the most suitable. A week doesn’t make that much difference, so I am easygoing about it.

In fact, this easygoingness is one of the keys to longevity. Don’t worry about small things. That is the very mindset of centenarians.

Some health-conscious people tend to be perfectionists, always circulating the exact amount and length of things to optimize the effects, but for me, they may not make that much difference at the end of the day, and by not worrying about the details, you can always put yourself in a positive mental state.

Anyway, I am happy to complete the 5th quarter.
