Just like river swimming, lake swimming can be great Shizenha bio-hacking.
Depending on which lake you swim in, it changes, but the water in LakeBiwa is warmer than the water in the rivers I usually swim in. Therefore, it doesn’t have the kind of hormetic effect river swimming can provides.
On the other hand, you can swim a lot more freely in the lake because the space is much bigger. In that sense, it is easier to do swimming HIIT. In the river, sometimes you don’t have the width to continue swimming for 20 seconds, but you can easily do that in the lake.
I usually swim with front crawl for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds, then swim with breaststroke for 20 seconds, and rest for 10 seconds. Repeat this process 4 times.
It is great earthing, too. You walk on the sand with bare feet, and you are in the natural water. It is completely different from pool swimming in that sense. Since dragon gods are in charge of natural water, you can connect to the energy of dragon gods by swimming in the river or lake.
The reason I was drawn to dragon gods on Lion’s gate portal open day may have been something to do with the fact that I had been swimming a lot in the river and lake this summer. I also did Takigyo, sitting under a waterfall. I had spent a lot of time exposing myself to natural water.
