I harvested purple sweet potatoes yesterday.
I planted them in May.
And I harvested the first ones a few weeks ago.
I waited for a few weeks because I wasn’t sure if all of them were ready. With sweet potatoes, it is difficult to tell how big they have become from the outside.
Purple sweet potatoes were ready now. For other types of sweet potatoes, I may have to wait a bit longer since the leaves are not withered yet.
Anyway, I am happy to have purple sweet potatoes. Now I can eat like Okinawans.
