I uploaded a new video.
I have shared with you my New Year’s resolutions for 2022 and how to plan your diet or exercises for this year. Today, I’ll put them in slightly different terms; how to find your ikigai in 2022.
Ikigai has two meanings.
One is your daily joys or pleasures that motivate you to live.
The other is your life purpose or life goal that drives you to live and keep going.
The first one is more casual and that is the kind of ikigai often talked about in the context of blue zones. For example, in Nagano Prefecture, one of the Japanese blue zones, community centers are active and old people have daily communications with other neighbors and the communications are being their ikigai.
Today, let me talk about ikigai in the first meaning, your daily joys or pleasures that motivate you to live.
How to find your daily joys or pleasures this year.
In 2022, I think health and spirituality are two main themes. More than ever, you want to stay sick-free now. We all know now that vaccines don’t necessarily protect you from new variants. You need to boost your natural immune system. Whether you are vaccinated or unvaccinated, the bottom line is that we all need to eat well and exercise regularly. They will protect you from other diseases and aging, too.
Since we have entered the second year in the Age of Air, the shift from materialistic values to spiritual values will escalate. Astrologers say that the shift takes place from 2021 to 2024, therefore we are still at the beginning stage and even though we didn’t feel much change last year, we will experience more changes this year.
When you think of your ikigai, you want to find ikigai that can support your health and spirituality. For some of you eating cakes and muffins with coffee is your ikigai, but does it support your health? Maybe not. Then change it to something healthier.
