The Ikigai Diet and Bio-Hacking

It is Friday today, the last day of my intermittent fasting. This week, I did 17 hours fast on Monday, 24 hours fast on Tuesday, 17 hours fast on Wednesday, 17 hours fast on Thursday and now I am about to finish 17 hours fast for today. I like this rhythm. It seems to be working well. Friday is always a happy day with this system of Hare and Ke Intermittent Fasting. I can relax on the weekend.

Recently I have been watching The Legend of Bruce Lee. I just found it on YouTube during my net surfing, and once I started watching it, I got hooked and couldn’t stop. It is a drama series based on the life of Bruce Lee. I had seen most of his movies but I didn’t know much about his life so it was interesting to see how he moved from Hong Kong to the United States and how he met his wife Linda. They were in the same university in Seattle. Even though he was a student, Bruce Lee was asked by his professor to give a course in Chinese philosophy and Linda was attending his class.

In the class, he was talking about Yin and Yang, and how Kang Fu was based on Yin and Yang. The defense is Yin and the offense is Yang, and they are connected in a circular motion.

When I heard about it, it reminded me of Hare and Ke Intermittent Fasting.

Come to think of it, everything about Hare and Ke Intermittent Fasting is Yin and Yang. Each day, we have the fasting window and eating window. If the fasting window is Yin, the eating window is Yang. They come back and forth in a circular motion. During the week is the fasting period and it is Yin, the weekend is the eating period and it is Yang. They also come back and forth in a circular motion, creating a continuous flow.

Yin and Yang circulate within a day and within a week.

And it has a cycle of three months with the Quarter system. We practice intermittent fasting for three months and take one week’s break. The fasting period is Yin and the break is Yang.

It goes with the cycling of autophagy and mTOR, and the pain and recovery.

It is a balance between Yin and Yang.

You can call Hare and Ke Intermittent Fasting Yin and Yang Intermittent Fasting.
