Hare and Ke Intermittent Fasting is a method practiced in the Ikigai Diet where you practice the 16/8 method during the week, which is Ke period, and take a break on the weekend, which is Hare period. You also have a plant-based diet during the week and include animal products in your diet on the weekend. It gives you a good balance of autophagy and mTOR. You have a switch of autophagy activating period and mTOR activating period. As for the ratio of autophagy and mTOR, some people say 80% to 20%, others say 60% to 40%, 5 days and 2 days are somewhere in between and it is practical because we already make a distinction between the weekdays and weekend.
