Is Intermittent Fasting Three Times a Week Okay?

Rice has ears now and is ready for harvesting.

Yesterday, I managed to do 24 hours fasting again. So, this is the third week I have done it. I have been going Nordic walking every morning during the week, too.

When you hear me talk like this, you might wonder that it is easy for me and not for everybody. That is true, not everyone can fast and exercise every morning.

You don’t have to. Researches show that fasting every two days can be beneficial. I am doing intermittent fasting 5 days a week, but you can do it 3 days a week, too. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. It is still better than not doing it at all, and having a rest on Tuesdays and Thursdays can be better from the viewpoint of autophagy and mTOR cycling. With my regular Hare and Ke Intermittent Fasting, I create the cycle by making weekdays to be autophagy activating period, and weekend to be mTOR activating period, but you can alternate autophagy and mTOR like Monday autophagy, Tuesday mTOR, Wednesday autophagy, Thursday mTOR, Friday autophagy, Saturday mTOR, and Sunday mTOR.

This schedule is much easier. If 5 days a week is difficult for you can do it 3 days a week.

You can try doing something in between, too, if you feel 3 days a week is not enough. Do 24 hours fasting on one of these 3 days.
