Green Tea and Japanese Sweets

May 5th is Children’s Day in Japan, and we usually have Japanese sweets called Chimaki and Kashiwamochi. So, yesterday, we had Chimaki and Kashiwamochi with green tea. I told you that we usually had green tea with pickles, but we sometimes have green tea with Japanese sweets, too. Japanese sweets are more for Hare occasions as in Hare and Ke or when we have guests in the house. They are not as healthy as pickles, but I suppose it wouldn’t be too bad if we had them only occasionally.
